TLK collection: Tiny Scar by kary218 TLK collection: Tiny Scar by kary218
I've been looking for this guy for a couple of years now and I can't believe I finally got him!!
This is a mini Scar made by Takara Tomy in the late '90s and came with a set of Disney Villains (Ursula, Jafar, Maleficent, Dragon-Maleficent, Cruella, Evil Queen, Hook). I never saw them for sale on ebay, I knew about them just because I saw Scar in another online tlk collection once. They probably can be occasionally found on japan sites (I did once a while ago).
I have to thank :icondaevakun: for selling him to me along with the rest of the Villain Set ^^
He's really tiny, less than 1inch tall :3 Look how awesome he is!! I love him! You can't even imagine how excited I was when I saw he had arrived XD

Edit: I can't take a good pic of my whole villains set due to my camera and to the light in my kitchen that is awful, but I found a good pic on the net so you can see how the other villains look like:…
Ehy, look! You can see Scar's scar too! XD

It's funny 'cause I looked for him for 5years and I recently got two more directly from Japan! . They'll be for sale soon but they'll be very expensive 'cause I payed them a lot and because of their high rarity... Otherwise I'll just keep them and create my mini Scar army XD
This figure is so little and yet so well made! I couldn't believe my eyes when I finally found mine after years of research O.O

Oh man, I've wanted this little guy for years! (Me and my friends called them "Little Scars" after the line from the musicals, lol.) My friend even went to Japan and saw one of the machines with the set and spent a couple hundred yen trying to get one but pretty much just got everyone else!

Yeah I looked for him for years too! O.O I can't believe how rare he is!!
And I didn't know how to call him so I went for 'tiny' Scar XD
I'll go to see the musical this May!! :la: Can't wait!!

If you are interested, recently I got the chance to purchase some stuff from japan and I bought also two of these Scars... They seem to be very rare in Japan too nowadays so I thought it would be a good idea to take them XD

I payed them definitely too much, but I wanted to try to resell them since they aren't aviable outside Japan... They'll go for 100 euros each, I know it's expensive but they are impossible to get outside japan (and even there I don't think there are many still for sale) I really payed a lot for them -.-" I may be able to get a third one but of course I'm not gonna spend more of my money if I don't sell the other two first ^^"
If you or somebody you know are interested just note me ^^

Also, could you give me some more infos about this figure? Was it sold in machines? Are there other sets other than the disney villains? O.O

Oh you haven't seen the musical yet? Oh man, it's a total treat, you'll love it. (Honestly have yet to meet a TLK fan that DIDN'T like it!)

In Japan they are huge on two things: crane machines/ those machines where you just put money in and they dispense a toy, and Disney. They are huge on both, and some of the best toys that come out of there are for those machines. (If you've heard of "UFO Catcher" plushies of stuff like Pokemon or Stitch, those are also from those machines.) If I remember correctly the two biggest Disney characters over there are Jack Skellington and Stitch, but again, you can find pretty much all Disney/Pixar stuff there. I've visited a couple of the sites with people selling them trying to find this set, and there are a LOT of different Disney sets to wade through.

(Also, have you seen the resin Enesco figure of Scar? I was looking through your collection photos and I don't think I saw it. Some of their other figures are sketchy likeness wise but the sculpt of Scar is GORGEOUS. The only thing wrong is that he doesn't have elbow tufts, but the detail on his face and the paint job on him is, well, to die for! ;)

Thank you for all the info!! I got from Japan a chibi Simba plush from those machines and some other lion king figures by tomy... They really have stuff that cannot be found elsewhere .

Daaaaw the Enesco figures!! *^* I love them!!
I haven't posted my xmas ornaments yet but I don't have Scar... Not yet! I saw him a couple of times but none of the sellers wanted to ship to Italy -.- I adore all that set, I have Nala and Rafiki but I really want to get them all! *-* You should check Rafiki, he is gorgeous! He has mistletoe on his stick and is mimic a kiss
The colours and expressions of those figurines are amazing, too bad they are fragile too! I had to glue one of Rafiki's arms 'cause he fell on the floor when I was cleaning him... He looks okay but I still want to get another one to display! I was so sad _ Even if was able to repair him very well I still felt guilty _
